AN UPDATED AND expanded edition of David Insurrection’s Anarcho-Punk: Music and Resistance in London 1977-1988 is released by Earth Island Books on 28 November, offering 15 additional chapters, eight extended chapters and 26 new photographs.
Asked to summarise what the new content focuses on, the author responded: “Eltham, Woolwich Fares Fair march, ‘Bash The Rich’, The Kings Head, Freestonia and Broken Glass, Feltham Football Club, Clarendon Hotel Ballroom, Fulham Greyhound, The Triad, Stamford Hill Estate, Sterile Records, The Stoke Newington 8, Polytechnic of North London, 234 Camden Road, spycops, Persons Unknown, The Ballet School and more.”
In this new Expanded Edition David has added fifteen more chapters with over fifty pages of additional text and colour images making this book the most comprehensive look at the Anarcho-Punk scene, its people, venues and squats, that has ever been published.
