James Domestic at Colchester Fringe Fest

Just over the border... Colchester Fringe Fest (Summer Edition) is this weekend. If you fancy a fun hour of words on animals, politics, mondegreens, school regrets, cats, dogs, prize-winning onanists, and more, then I'd highly recommend this show.

Tickets are limited so don't hang about! James Domestic's performances are at 7pm on Friday 24th and 3pm on Saturday 25th. Both at CODA (remember these are stage times so do arrive a bit before).

HE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Being a shy and retiring type, James is not going to blow his own trumpet, so we’ll let others do that for him:

“James Domestic is a powerhouse of performance poetry” (Henry Normal, writer, poet and TV and Film producer)

“James’s creative and subversive use of rhyme and rhythm is wonderfully surreal. Warm, witty and captivating, he has a gift for making comedy out of unlikely material” (Fiona Clark, Suffolk Poetry Society)

“James' poetry sharply focuses in on the raw ridiculous truth of the world that is right in front of us all.” (Scott Coe, former Stamford Poet Laureate)

“Hard-hitting words, delivered with wit and wicked humour. Definitely one of the pillars of the modern poetry scene” (Alex Tyler, Peterborough Poet Laureate)

“James is profound, James is belly laughs; he’s got the lot” (Andy Riley, BAFTA and Emmy winning comedy writer on Big Train, Smack The Pony, Veep, Black Books and more)

“Words that bite, belch, and bleed in their brilliance” (Mark Grist, multi-award-winning poet, battle-rapper, and star of Channel 4’s ‘Mr Drew’s School for Boys’)

“Integrity, compassion and guts” (Steve Ignorant, Crass)

“Poetry, comedy and reflections on life…completely unpretentious yet full of insight - Up there with the best” (Paul T. Davies, Theatre Editor, Keep Colchester Cool)

“Argh poetry! Tweed-garbed toffs waffling about moorhens? Nah! Funny and fierce words fighting in a sack!” (The Shend, musician, actor, absurdist, and Cravat)

“Relentless” (Attila the Stockbroker, social surrealist poet and songwriter)

The newest book, James Domestic is an Acquired taste, is available now, and all his books are available here.
