From next week Alex Boucher can add ‘Presenter/Producer’ to his creds, as the cameras will start rolling for ‘Three and a Half Minutes of Fame’ (the documentary film) on Tuesday!
Â
We have raised enough funds (from the Crowdfunder and the back of the sofa) to shoot one day of footage, and where better to commence this, than… drum roll please… HULL.
Lemme explain. Hull still has a very vibrant music scene, and with it, a legendary live venue called The Adelphi. The man behind it, Paul Jackson has been running it since the 80’s and he’ll be giving a tour of the club and a rummage through his archive of flyers, posters, photos and merch too.Â
Alex has played the Adelphi, so is really looking froward to going back there, for the first time in over 30 years!
He’ll also be sitting down with Kingmaker, a local band that nearly hit the giddy heights in the 90s.
Â
It’s so exciting to get this project off the ground, and we’re grateful for everyone’s contributions so far - in order for us to film more stuff in the new year, we’d love to raise more cash, so please, if you know anyone who would watch a documentary about how the music scene has changed since the 90s, send them this link:Â
Please share this link to Whatsapp groups, Facebook Groups, Reddit/MySpace/Threads, the more places we can be discovered, the better.
Keep an eye on the socials next Tues/Weds where we’ll be sharing progress from Hull.
Over and out!
