The Voice of a Generation

Britain in the 1980s was in the grip of a socio-economic crisis, with mass unemployment, riots breaking out in all the major cities, the closure of industries, and the height of the Cold War.

This in turn spawned a generation of disaffected youth who fought back with their music coupled with a defiant look and attitude. The UK punks of the 80s were living on the fringe and sticking two fingers up to society.

In the new book 'Voice of a Generation: 80’s UK Punx in their own words' by Marquis H.K. the punks tell it like it was, in their own words, and remind us why the punk-rock lifestyle and attitude today is more relevant than ever before!

With a foreword by Eugene Butcher of Vive le Rock magazine, a chapter by Ian Glasper, author of 'The Scene That Would Not Die', 'A Country Fit For Heroes', 'Silence is no reaction: Forty years of Subhumans', and many more, and hundreds of great colour photos taken at the time, this is the pre-order for the first print of the book.

This is the tenth book from life-long punker Marquis H.K. which will be officially published in September, but we will have copies available in August, before Rebellion Festival, which the author will be at.
