You never know who you’ll meet on the mean streets of L.A.

Marla Watson is back in L.A. for a few days dropping off copies of her new book, ‘My Punk Rock Life’, to various stores. Yesterday, she and her daughter went to get breakfast and while they were eating in walks Greg Heston from The Circle Jerks and Bad Religion. As he was walking to his table Marla stopped him and they chatted for a while, as her daughter ran out to the car and grabbed him a copy of the new book (as he’s in it). They then took a picture together, which you can see below.

Greg is going to be the tour guide on the day Marla does her book signing at The Punk Rock Museum and there will be a report on her book in the zine there.

There will also be an interview with Marla at coming up soon.

For now, there’s a new review of ‘My Punk Rock Life, the photography of Marla Watson’ in Thoughts Words Action where Djordje tells us; “What sets My Punk Rock Life apart is not only the stunning visuals but also the heartfelt anecdotes provided by Watson and other contributors. As a former journalist turned punk fanzine photographer, she offers a unique perspective on the scene.” And “The book’s historical significance, coupled with Watson’s personal journey and insightful storytelling, make it a must-have for anyone interested in punk rock, photography, or subcultural history.”

You can pre-order 'My Punk Rock Life - The Photography of Marla Watson' from Earth Island Books here now. It's at the printers now and there will be both paperback and hardback versions.
