Well, it's been a month since Ian Glasper pestered y'all for obscure punk band leads, but every time we post there's a subsequent breakthrough, which all bring the next book, 'A Country Fit for Heroes Volume Two', closer to completion, so here goes again!
Ian is still looking for:
Animal Farm (London)
Beyond Religion (Oakham)
The Cause (Wigan)
The Clergy (Reading)...
And here's a few others off the huge list he's looking to track down:
The Genocides (Preston)
Idiot Savant (Hull)
The Impalers
Last Rites (Glasgow)
Maximum Security (Glasgow)
Mutual Fear (Dunfermline)
Any leads will be very gratefully accepted - many thanks as always!
'A Country Fit for Heroes : DIY punk in eighties Britain', the latest book by punk-rock historian Ian Glasper, is still available to order from Earth Island Books.
Primarily collecting the stories of over 140 UK punk bands from the eighties who only released EPs and demos, or only appeared on compilation LPs, ‘A Country Fit for Heroes: DIY punk in eighties Britain’ is a celebration of the obscure, a love letter to the UK’s punk underground.
