Bob Short reads from Chapter Seven, ‘Deptford Fun City, London, 1979’ from his excellent book – although this extract doesn't quite put the Fun into Deptford Fun City.
Another brief excerpt from the Book ‘Night Comes Down’ by Bob Short - In this excerpt, Bob Short discusses the notorious punk squat called Campbell Buildings in Waterloo. A wretched hive of scum and villainy located in an historical hive of scum and villainy.
Bob will also be on the radio talking about his new punk-life book ‘Night Comes Down’ on 2RRR today, Ryde Regional Radio in Australia.
The show goes to air on Friday 31st October at 7pm Sydney time, which is 8am London time. Bob comes on after 25 minutes and does about an hour and a half interview. The show is repeated 5am Tuesday which will be 6pm Monday in UK.
