Foreword Fringe Literary Festival at the John Peel Centre

On the 15th of August you can catch a rare performance from multi-award-winning poet, Mark Grist (he's also a battle-rap champion, author, and was in Channel 4's 'Mr Drew's School For Boys'!) at the first fringe literary festival, FOREWORD FESTIVAL!
There will be great support from Amy Wragg, James Dom Estic, Sam Marsh, and Lorna Mackinnon with the evening compered by Mr AJ Deane.

The John Peel Centre for Creative Arts CIC (JPC) is a volunteer-led live music and arts venue based in Stowmarket, Suffolk. John Peel was an influential figure in British music broadcasting and lived locally in Great Finborough. Famed for his eclectic taste and dedication to new, emerging music, Peel embodied the DIY ethos of the punk movement, and the centre holds firmly to its mission to nurture and encourage musicians and artists and increase accessibility to the arts for all.
The Arts Centre programming features new talent alongside established national and international touring artists, delivering a diverse mix of events throughout the year. Live music, comedy, poetry, art, theatre, screenings, and dance, welcoming over 10,000 visitors in 2024.
