Happy Birthday Charlie!

Charlie Harper, the UK Subs legendary frontman, turned 81 earlier this week and we've been seeing well-deserved greetings and good wishes for him every day.

Charlie and the band celebrated his birthday with a gig at London's 229 Venue, and our buddy Nick Wilkinson of Burning Picks Photography was there to capture the party atmosphere.

Celebrating the godfather of punks birthday and continuing involvement in the scene he'll be at events all through the summer, both in the UK and abroad, and back at Rebellion Festival again this year, on stage every day, both with electric and acoustic sets and a talk on the literary stage too, where he'll be discussing his art, the new UK Subs film, and of course, his new autobiography.

The hardback version of Charlie's long anticipated autobiography is available to pre-order now, and comes with extra goodies including an A3 poster, a two-sided bookmark and a set of six postcards.

‘An Anarchy of Demons’ tells the full story of what made Charlie the punk icon he is today, over 478 colour pages, and there will be a 'flick through' video coming very soon to give you an inside look.
