Thankyou, from a friend you've known for years

Djordje Miladinović from the excellent punk rock blog Thoughts Words Action has recently reviewed Charlie Harper’s autobiography ‘An Anarchy of Demons’...

Take a read of these quotes. It’s clear that Djordje loves it and you will too!

“Harper’s honesty makes this book such an enjoyable read. There is no self-aggrandisement here. He speaks openly about difficult family relationships, failed marriages, and periods of personal uncertainty. He does not attempt to wrap every episode in punk mythology. Instead, he lays out his life in clear terms, sometimes humorous, often sobering. This emotional clarity makes the memoir feel human, even amid chaotic gigs, endless touring…”

and

“…His reputation was built not on scandal or theatrics, but on relentless work, a commitment to the community, and an uncompromising belief in the punk rock ethos. Across 478 pages, this ethos is explained and lived page by page, year by year, in a memoir that’s free of pretension and rich in insight. Told in Harper’s own words and narrative style, An Anarchy of Demons covers a broad sweep…”

and

“…genuine, unfiltered, and thoroughly absorbing autobiography that stands as a long, deeply personal conversation with a friend you’ve known for years.”

Charlie Harper has returned from the Rebellion Festival tired and happy. He was hectically busy throughout the event, playing gigs, speaking on the literary stage, and spending a lot of time signing books and speaking with fans and friends.

Just check out his book signing queue, below - photos by Dod Morrison.

Charlie sends a message to all via his Instagram account, saying

"A big thank you for making my book a big success, and thanks to all those at Rebellion Punk Music Festival for keeping me signing books for the whole four days.

See you next year...
