The ever active Ian Glasper is keeping busy with both music and writing. He’s currently working on 'A Country Fit for Heroes: Volume Two', and has just finished the Intensive Care chapter. They were actually on the compilation LP of the same name, so only Protest and Crux to go, to 'complete the set' of all the bands on those ACFFH comps...
Right now he’s working through a section on Hoax so here’s ‘Now we are heroes’: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oER8Fn317wI
He’s also finished writing up the Skull Attack chapter for the forthcoming 'A Country Fit for Heroes: Volume Two' book, a truly great band from Port Talbot who only recorded two demos (not three, as per the YouTube image) before splitting. If they hadn't been included on the brilliant 'Bullsheep Detector' compilation, these songs would never have received any official release at all, which would have been criminal.

And on the subject of obscure Welsh punk bands, does anyone know anything about either Nux Vomica or Earth's Epitaph? Ian is still searching for more info on those guys.
Finally, for now, Ian’s first incursion into fictional territory will be published in the upcoming ‘Hardcore Horror’ collection. A twenty-three story anthology of gothic horror from the minds of the punk-rock scene, launching in time for Halloween.
You can order the first volume of 'A Country Fit For Heroes', as well as the superb 'The Scene That Would Not Die' and all of Ian's brilliant books from the Earth Island Books online store.
