Rebellion Punk Music Festival has launched the LITERARY STAGE for 2022 and we have confirmed that Tim Satchwell will be speaking about his books on The Clash.
Taking place in the Winter Garden’s brand new state of the art exhibition and conference centre and also holding Punk Art, the Rebellion Literary Stage will be the ideal place to chill between sets, with a café and bar.
Tim will speak alongside plenty of other punk rock luminaries, including:
- Jeremy Cunningham – bassist from popular Brighton folk rockers the Levellers. - Bez – percussionist/dancer from the Happy Monday and more recently a media personality, but will he get his maracas out? - Don Letts – former Roxy DJ, film maker and author of the best selling autobiography ‘There and Black Again’ - Rhoda Dakar – one time Bodysnatcher, collaborator with The Specials, now a successful solo artist and DJ. - The Seal Club, with Irvine Welsh and John King – both popular authors in their own right, recently combining with Alan Warner to produce a three-novella collection under the title ‘The Seal Club’ - Billy Bragg – singer-songwriter who has also been a political activist for many years, supporting various left-wing causes. - Tom Robinson – front man with the Tom Robinson Band, long term LGBT rights activist and broadcaster for BBC Radio 6. - Jeff Turner – Cockney Rejects front man tells it how it is with his solo ‘Stand Up and Be Counted’ routine, tales of football, touring, boxing and more.
Also, Stuart Pearce, Richard Jobson, Steve Ignorant, Harley Flanagan, Mick Rossi, Pam Hogg, The Lovely Eggs, Gina Birch & Helen McCookery Book, MATT & CASINO (The Boys), DEL TEST TUBE, ALVIN GIBBS, STEVE DREWETT, TONY DAVIDSON, MAT SARGENT (SEX, DRUGS & HIV), EDWEENA BANGER and more.
So many great bands will play over four days, and as ever Rebellion have Punk Rock coming from all corners of the globe. With over 20 countries other than the UK represented. Some massive bands, some well known and some new to you and us that are well worth checking out. There's a great mix of styles and something for everyone.
