Punk author Marcel Stol will be in London on 2nd and 3rd December with a presentation of the Goudvishal Punk squat venue 1977-1990 and the launch of our paperback version of the book 'Goudvishal : DIY or Die! Punk in Arnhem 1977-1990' at the Punk Scholars Network Conference.
The Goudvishal book has over 500 pages of beautiful photos and stories showing the power of punk counter-culture at the Dutch squats with all the bands that played there and the arguments that ensued with the local authorities.
The Punk Scholars Network 9th Annual Conference & Postgraduate Symposium will take place at Middlesex University, North London, on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December 2022.
It kicks off the evening before, on Thursday 1st December, with Mike Dines in conversation online with Ian Glasper and Dick Lucas about the new Subhumans book.
On Friday afternoon, Rebecca Binns will be talking to Gee Vaucher, before Marcel Stol and Henk Wentink talk about and launch the 'Goudvishal' book.
On Saturday, George McKay will be giving a Keynote presentation.
There will be lots of other speakers, and streaming sessions online as well as in person.
